Elegant Gowns has a new addition!!

On March 30th 2011 we had a new addition to our family, Miss Abigail "Abby" Rose. She was 8lbs 1oz and 19.5" of newborn perfection. Elegant Gowns is a small company and is owner-operated. I strive to offer the best customer service I can, but with this new addition life has quickly become quite hectic! I am still here, though, to help my budget-minded brides achieve the wedding of their dreams without breaking the bank. Email is the best way to get a quick reply to a question. I can return phone calls, however it may take up to a week for me to find the time to return your call so if it is an urgent order I suggest sending me an email since I can respond to emails while Abby plays, or during naps without risk of waking her up. I truly appreciate your understanding!

After making us wait & being fashionably late, our daughter has arrived & Elegant Gowns is effectively closed until further notice for maternity leave! We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter Abigale "Abby" Rose born March, 30th at 1:09am weighing in at 8lbs, 1oz and 19.5 inches. Mom & baby are doing great.

We anticipate being out of the office for 2-4 weeks as we adjust to being parents. If you placed an order & need to request a return or exchange, we still need to have the request emailed to us within 3 days of of the orders' delivery. Please put in the subject line "Return Request" and include your order number and Lynn will try to check-in to process return requests a few times a week.

Due to being delayed and updating our leave information, if you placed an order Tuesday March 29th through Thursday March 31st your order will not be processed until we return. If you need to cancel your order, please email us and we will cancel the order. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Once we return please allow us a few weeks to catch up on emails and orders received during our absence. We thank you for your patience & understanding as we bond with our new daughter.

As noted in our "Learn about Elegant Gowns" bio, Elegant Gowns is owner-operated by Brooke Ritzman with the technical assistance of her husband, Lynn. We are excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby in March 2011! Since we are such a small company & our goal is to offer the lowest pricing possible for our brides, we keep our overhead low. One of the ways we do this is we have no employees. Thus, when our baby arrives Elegant Gowns will effectively close temporarily while we adjust to parenthood. We anticipate being on leave for at least 2-4 weeks.

What does this mean for our Customers?

If you are considering placing an order with us and you have a Spring or Summer wedding planned, we encourage you to place your order in February or early March. If your wedding is in the Fall, you can either place your order now, or you may want to wait until May to place your order.

How will Customers know we are closed?

Lynn will make every attempt to update this page once we have had our baby so that you know we are unavailable until further notice. We will also try to update our out-of-office auto-response once our baby has arrived.

What Elegant Gowns will do for Customers while on leave:

I am a work-a-holic but I am going focus on being a new mother when our baby arrives. If time permits, I will attempt to respond to emails and process orders that to come in during my leave. All orders will receive "order updates" when I'm processing them, so please be sure to verify that your email address is entered correctly so you will receive these updates. I cannot, however, guarantee orders will be processed during the first month of my leave!! I do NOT anticipate returning any phone calls in the first 2-4 weeks so it would be best for you to email any questions to me.

We appreciate your understanding while Lynn & I adjust to our new roles as parents!
