Know what types of fabrics you prefer to wear and what aging may do to these fabrics. When negotiating the price of your vintage wedding dress be sure to take into consideration if you will need to have a seamstress repair it; if it needs repairs, how extensive? Repairs on older dresses can be much more costly that alterations on a traditional wedding dress. Also ask if there is a record of how many owners the gown has had.
